Born and raised in Baltimore, Shelby began her training at Empire Beauty School of Owings Mills, MD. After freelancing for 2 years, she moved to NYC to reinvigorate her craft and skills within the salon and editorial world.
Shelby spent the next year assisting Tim Nolan at Tommy Guns NYC. There she was able to refine her hair cutting, coloring & barbering skills. Upon arrival in 2012, Shelby has been heavily involved in the New York beauty industry. Working many NYFW shows including Marissa Webb & Rochambeau. Her work has been published in Instyle Magazine and her client list includes Marchesa's Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. Shelby is now really excited to be part of the ION Studio team.
